EDITING

GLORIOUS AMERICANA A website dedicated to the best in U.S. travel and style, which I founded in 2014.

JETSETTER I was the Managing Editor at this luxury travel website from October 2012 to October 2014, overseeing Jetsetter’s creative team, as well as writing, assigning and editing hotel reviews and travel features, and doing a lot of jetsetting myself to report on destinations and properties. I’m now a contributing editor to the site, and continue to write features and reviews.

ZAGAT A former staff editor at Zagat.com and on Zagat’s guidebooks, I remain a contributing editor to Zagat’s New York City Restaurants and New York City Shopping guides.

HAMPTONS MAGAZINE In 2012 I was a contributing editor to Niche Media’s weekly summertime publication Hamptons, where I edited front-of-book stories (like “Chef’s Table” featuring a Q&A and recipe from top culinary talents and the “Beach Bites” food news page) as well as features. I also produced recurring sections like “Cheers” and “Privet Party”, where I worked with top East End personalities to produce recipes and parties to be featured exclusively in the magazine (e.g. “Dinner with Friends” by Ted Allen and “La Dolce Vita” with David Rocco).

NYO: THE NEW YORK OBSERVER MAGAZINE In 2011 and 2012 I served as the deputy editor on the relaunch issues of NYO, the New York Observer‘s lifestyle magazine. I edited the front-of-book section, which included topics ranging from travel to food to art. I also edited restaurant and travel-related features, as well as wrote profiles on prolific New Yorkers, like this story on one of my photography heroes, Harry Benson.

BRIDES.COM and BRIDES LOCAL MAGAZINES From 2006 to 2011 I was the travel editor/managing editor of Brides.com and Brides Local Magazines, Conde Nast’s 16 regional wedding publications. I edited the “Honeymoons & Destinations” section both in print and online, as well as produced service and style features in the magazine and on the website from concept to close, hired and managed freelancers, and created editorial lineups. In 2010, I successfully managed the relaunch of Brides.com, which included the Webby-honored “Aisle Say” blog. You can see examples of my work from Brides.com and Brides Local in sections throughout this website.

US WEEKLY I began my writing career at the amazing boot camp that is the editorial department at celebrity weekly US. During my two years there, I wrote the front-of-book trends and news section (including countless “Stars Are Just Like Us” pages) as well as fashion, fitness, and service features. I was also the assigning editor for New York event coverage and reported on myriad events myself, from Fashion Week to film premieres.
